Steve Newcomb is the co-founder and CEO of Famo.us, a JavaScript platform that enables developers to build animation rich experiences, interfaces, and widgets integrated into responsive websites, mobile websites, and mobile apps. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the jQuery Foundation and as a senior fellow at the UC Berkeley School of Engineering.

Prior to founding Famo.us, Steve was the co-founder of Powerset, a semantic search engine that was bought by Microsoft and later became the search engine Bing. Steve is a self-taught designer and engineer and has dedicated himself to education and accessibility for designers and engineers of all levels.
